What we do
At EmpowerWise Ltd, we believe that knowledge is the key to creating safer, more supportive communities. As a social enterprise, our mission is to drive meaningful change by empowering individuals, communities and organisations with the confidence and skills to respond to domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation safely and with confidence.
With over twenty years of experience supporting individuals affected by trauma, including those with additional needs or vulnerabilities, we bring the skill, patience, knowledge and passion to deliver bespoke one off training or structured programs.

For workplaces and organisations
Our approach is simple yet impactful, we understand that every organisation is unique. That’s why we take the time to assess your specific needs, ensuring the training aligns with your goals and will therefore deliver meaningful and practical learning outcomes.
We specialise in delivering bespoke training and workshops to a wide range of professionals, including:
✅ Employers & HR Teams – Supporting businesses in developing effective policies and providing managers with the tools to assist employees affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence or exploitation. Our training encourages a culture where colleagues can support each other with confidence and understanding.
✅Public Facing Professionals – Helping frontline workers such as retail, hospitality and leisure, recognise the signs of abuse, respond with compassion, safety plan effectively and refer individuals to appropriate support services.
✅Educational Institutions – Raising awareness among staff and students to create safer learning environments and ensure those at risk receive the right support and safeguarding.
✅Community Based Workers – Including beauticians, hairdressers and other professionals who may encounter victims in their roles. Our training equips them with the knowledge to spot warning signs and offer safe, supportive responses and knowledge of signposting.

Safe and Healthy Relationship Education – Tailored workshops for individuals with additional needs or learning disabilities, ensuring attendees receive accessible, practical and engaging relationship and safety education.
People Affected by Substance Misuse & Mental Health Challenges – Training for professionals working with vulnerable individuals, with a focus on the ‘toxic trio’ (the complex interplay between domestic abuse, mental health and substance misuse).

Objectives / Mission statement
EmpowerWise is dedicated to raising awareness and understanding of domestic abuse, sexual violence and exploitation. We strive to create safer, more compassionate communities through education and training, empowering individuals, communities and organisations to provide meaningful support to those affected by these issues and creating environments where people feel valued, supported and heard.
We deliver tailored workshops and training programs to diverse audiences, including employers, community organisations, educators and professionals in public facing roles. These sessions focus on helping participants identify signs of abuse, exploitation and violence, respond with empathy and offer practical support.
For employers, we address how these challenges impact workplace wellbeing and productivity, providing strategies to build supportive, inclusive and non judgemental environments.
Our work also prioritises accessible and inclusive education, helping individuals navigate relationships with confidence and safety. We provide specialised training for professionals working with people facing additional challenges, such as learning difficulties, mental health difficulties and / or substance misuse issues, supporting them to deliver trauma informed care and create person centred approaches.
At EmpowerWise, we believe knowledge, education and understanding are the most powerful drivers for sustained change and breaking cycles that pass through generations.
